Built in 1723 by Hacı Mehmet Ağa, who endowed many fountains, prayer rooms, ablution places and lavatories in Erzurum, and who set aside numerous shops and inn rooms so that these charitable works could be maintained. The pediment carries a ten-line inscription in thuluth script that functions as an endowment deed.
