Built by Hacı Dede Ağa in the late 19th century and standing in Pelit Square in the Mumcu neighbourhood, the fountain was moved to Korukçu Street in Aşağı Mumcu during the town-planning works of the 1950s, and later disappeared during subsequent works.

The fountain was rebuilt in line with the reconstruction project.
